All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players

Drama plays a significant role in my life. When I was a senior at college, I participated in a year-long project "Hamlet". I acted Hamlet in the play, which was a tremendously exciting experience for me. I believe literature, drama and a communicative method can be used to make classes livelier and more interesting for students and teachers. May I make some recommendations for your reading and for using drama and theater in the future:

Richard Via, "English in Three Acts" (BU Library): He presents and defends the use of drama and gives about 5 different, modern, 15-minute one-act plays that can be used in the classroom.

Alan Maley & Alan Duff, "Drama Techniques in Language Learning": This article presents excellent communicative and dramatic techniques.
